MH100 – the charities we’re supporting

Whilst MH100 itself is a Registered Charity, we’ve decided that proceeds from the 8 & 9 July 2017 Centenary Event will be divided between four nominated charities.

Our support for the first two charities, the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and Help For Heroes, acknowledge the crucial role played by those who served at RAF Martlesham Heath in the development of military aviation, the bravery of those serving when the airfield was in the World War 2 front line and the bravery of those still serving in today’s armed forces.

We’re also supporting two Martlesham Heath-based charities that aim to improve life and opportunities for people in our area. HomeStart East Suffolk – supports parents when the pressures of family life are too much to cope with alone; helping them grow in confidence and strengthen their relationships with their children, improving families health and wellbeing. Lapwing Education provides bespoke education to children and young people facing exclusion from school, college or society, helping to transform their futures.
